Much is said among occult students these days anent white and black magic, and much that is said is without force, or truth. It has been truly said that between the two types of workers, the line of demarcation is so slight as to be difficult of recognition by those who, as yet, merit not the term "knower."

The distinction between the two exists in both motive and method. TCF 985.

Most of the members of this center of cosmic evil are upon the first ray itself. RI 716.

This has been spoken of as the ray of power, and is correctly so called, but if it were power alone, without wisdom and love, a destructive and disintegrating force would result.

In connection with Aries, which expresses or is the agent primarily of the first Ray of Will or Power, the ray of the destroyer, it should be stated that first ray energy comes from the divine Prototype in the Great Bear. EA 99.

Aries to one of the two stars, found in the constellation, the Great Bear, which are called the two Pointers. EA 194.

Aries is, as might be expected, closely connected with the Great Bear but peculiarly so with one of the stars called The Pointers; these point to the Pole star which is at this time a major "star of direction." Direction, will, purpose and plan are all connected with the solar Logos and with His evolutionary undertakings in connection with the many lives manifesting in the vehicle of expression which we call the solar system. All these respond to the influences of the first ray which is, to all intents and purposes, the energy of divine embodied will, which has been esoterically described as "unavoidable directed purpose." EA 195.

Aries, the initiator of impulses (either the impulse to incarnate or the impulse to return to the originating source) is closely in touch with one of the stars in the Great Bear to which we give the name "Pointer" in common parlance. This Pointer is a "major star of direction" because through it (in this world cycle) flows the will to unify and to bring about synthesis. EA 482.

The Pointer furthest from the Pole Star in the constellation of the Great Bear. This is, esoterically speaking, a great reservoir or focal point for divine energy, carrying out God's purpose. EA 196.

The Leading Great Rishi and Pleiad: Maha Marichi, Arab name Alkaid.

Saptarshis saptarsis [from sapta seven + rishi sage]

Marichi is the chief of the Maruts and one of the seven primitive Rishis. TG.

Cosmic evil from the standpoint of our planet consists in the relation between that spiritual intelligent Unit or "Rishi of the Superior Constellation" as He is called (who is the informing Life of one of the seven stars of the Great Bear, and our planetary prototype) and one of the forces of the Pleiades. (S. D., II, 579-581.)

History of the star: A brilliant white star on the tail of the Great Bear Ursa Major. The Arabic name for Alkaid or Alcaid is Al-Qa'id, "Leader" of the mourning maidens. www.

Alkaid was known as "the destroyer of nations" by Islamic astrologers. (Noonan). 

The Little Bear [Lesser Dipper] (Ursa Minor):

Energies emanate from the seven stars of the Great Bear (transmitted through seven stars of the Little Bear)

We have also brought into relation to our solar system another constellation, called the Little Bear which is a reflection of or a corollary to the major energies of its greater prototype, Ursa Major, the Great Bear. EA 202.

The Pointer nearest to the Pole Star is expressive of a lower aspect of the will, which - in speaking of humanity - we call self-will. EA 196.

Magnetic Corruption:

JPC: Firstly it should be considered why it is that the lords of cosmic evil use the first ray of aspect. We will recall that most black magicians are on the first ray itself. It is their line of least resistance owing to the intended and directed use of the line of the destroyer in its negative and destructive lower quality. It was their major mode of attack towards earth as the creatures on the first ray, of evil spawn, manifested during the Jurassic period. Therefore their method of disintegration, their application of magnetically corruptive and destructive approach, is best served upon the major first ray of aspect. The first ray without the balancing quality of love in its least degree would be a disaster indeed, manifesting purely in its evil polarization. Remember, it was the first ray "impress" on its higher note and in line with spiritual evolution which initiated the coming in of the lords of the flame on the fifth ray and individualization for man. It is on the lower note, or destructive quality inaugurated by the black lodge that seeded its evil and destructive "spawn" to slow and "disrupt" evolution on earth. I propose as theory, that just as the fifth ray of mind was inverted and corrupted to bring the moon chain to its ultimate failure, it was the lower impress of the first ray which seeded this catastrophic termination and failure of  the Moon.

It should be of great interest to note that one such corrupted solar system is "situated between the lesser Dipper and our system" according to DK. The lesser dipper or little bear deals specifically with the purposeful directed energies of the seven rays in their lower aspect of human endeavour. In other words "self will." We are already aware that the source of cosmic evil manifests through the corrupted adjustment of the first ray rishi of the great bear, Maha Rishi or "Alkaid or Alcaid is Al-Qa'id, "Leader" of the mourning maidens." This magnetically counter polarized energy passes from the Pointer of the "major star of direction" to the first ray pointer in the little bear thus purposefully and with intent to corrupt the seven ray energies of the lesser bear as they manifest as "self will" into the human kingdom.

Clearly we are shown how the lower aspects of the seven rays are corrupted and boosted to enhance the negative qualities of the seven rays in humanity. We should remember well that before these seven lesser energies of self will strike our system they are contaminated further still by the dissolving constellation which lays between the lesser dipper and our system. Indeed DK tells us of two such dissolving systems of cosmic evil, though I propose there are, immediately concerned and relating to the seven solar systems of freedom, seven such magnetically corrupted and terminated systems/constellations forming the seven solar systems of mahatic energy constituting the centre of cosmic evil on the cosmic astral plane.

Magnetic Corruption = Invertive polarization of a Divine Ray life i.e. the emphesis upon the lower qualities or "vices" for the human kingdom. The negative polar aspect. Energy per sa is niether good nor bad.

It must become polarized or aligned to the inner forces. Hilarion. TT3.

Note: It is open to occult philosophical analysis as to the seven solar systems of mahatic energy. All dark magicians work under “certain great Entities, six in number” being the sum total of the deva essence of the three lower sub planes of the cosmic physical. It should also be remembered that these entities do not compose the cosmic black lodge upon the cosmic astral plane however. This comprises of those entities that have consciously risen from the human levels of darkness to greater heights of darkness and ignorance. Each solar system has a peculiar relation to one of the seven rays. JPC.

The Seven plane Lords and the Six Lords of karmic residue:

The Raja-lord of a plane.   
 
Seven devas who work under Him, and are the entities who inform the matter of the seven subplanes.

Four devas who are the plane representatives of the four Maharajahs (the Lords of Karma). TCF 468.

Great Entities, six in number, who are spoken of, for instance, in the Christian Bible as having the number 666.

These entities are the sumtotal of the substance of the three lower subplanes of the cosmic physical plane (our three lower systemic planes), and it is under them that the black magicians are swept into activity, often unconsciously, but rising to power as they work consciously. TCF 992.

It will be noted that there are seven deva lords on the concrete level for each of the seven sub-planes who inform the matter therein, with a presiding Raja-Lord of the plane. We should duly note that on the three lowest sub-planes physical, astral and mental there are also six, two for each of the three sub-planes, great deva entities who form the karmic and un-principled matter of a residual nature. It is necessary to register that these six great entities came in from the cosmic mental plane and must have once held the equivalent rank just below a solar logi. We have therefore, regarding the three lower systemic sub-planes a positive deva lord "conscious forces and entities of high position" and two karmicly negative deva lords of the cosmic mental plane, occultly opposing evolutionary urge to passing the ringpassnot of the sub-plane concerned, the mental plane. This opposition urges not the love aspect and builds the path of manasic evil  for those who consciously so choose. This indicates for us a peculiar karmic relationship between our solar and planetary logos and a solar system of a once exalted status. JPC.

There is one such constellation, situated between the lesser Dipper and our system, and another, interrelated with the Pleiades and our system which still have a profound effect upon the physical body of the solar Logos. The above paragraph is specifically worded thus because the effects are felt in the lowest sheath of all, and are responsible for much that is ignorantly termed "black magic." These two constellations have ran their cycles and are "dissolving." TCF 837.

Purificatory fire is the only cure for this magnetic corruption, and this is being utilized freely by the planetary Logoi in Their schemes, and by the solar Logos in the system. TCF 838.
